The tri-state chapter is presently serving veterans in New York and New Jersey.

Here we also operate the Veterans Support Organization Training Center, which opened March 2, 2010 and is designed to provide services to veterans who have been suffering from chronic homelessness and/or un-employability.

The facility is a 8500 Sq. Ft State-of-The-Art OJT Center with classrooms, computer labs, occupational therapy and recreational therapy areas as well as a gym and numerous other OJT labs designed to replicate actual future employer environments.

The center offers chronically unemployed and homeless disabled veterans free job training, career and education guidance, job search assistance, life skills training, and other specialized services including the ability to participate in outside educational certification programs funded by a VSO grant.

Computer training classes that enhance job skills and qualifications are also offered, for those individuals seeking to go into support positions in office environments.

HOW TO GIVE TO VETERANS

VSO is a 501(c)(3) organization. The amount of your contribution that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of any money (and the value of any property other than money) contributed by you minus the fair market value of goods or services provided by VSO. Donations are 100% tax deductible if no goods or services were received from VSO as a result of your donation.
