THE CHAPTER STORY:

According to the Veterans Administration, there are approximately 200,000 homeless veterans in our nation on any given day.  Of these 200,000, it is estimated that there are more than 3,000 in the State of Georgia.

With budget cuts and lack of funding, there are approximately 170 funded beds available within the Veterans Administration healthcare network.  You can do the math … our veterans need our help and they need your help. Another way the Veterans Support Organization helps is by offering a program that gives both veterans and non-veterans in need an employment opportunity.  When you see any of our men and women on station in front of one our partner stores, they are working to improve both their lives and the lives of our homeless and needy veterans.

Our program affords them an opportunity they might not otherwise have.  And on numerous occasions, they have reported back that they were met and greeted by a veteran or a family of a veteran this organization has assisted with your help. As a freedom-enjoying citizen of the United States, we ask that you help.

Show your thanks by making a small donation to help the homeless and needy soldiers in Georgia.  All donations collected by the Georgia Chapter of the Veterans Support Organization are used to support the homeless and needy veterans throughout Georgia. Thank you for your support and the next time you see a soldier or if you know a veteran, shake his or her hand and tell them thank you.
