THE CHAPTER STORY:

In the Great state of Texas We Have over 17,000 Homeless Veterans on our street. It is our mission to dramatically reduce this number.

In order to do this we need your support!  We have work programs in place to help these needy veterans get back on the feet as well as giving them a place to call home. Our program allows men and woman to collect donations at our designated donation sites. What this does is it allows the members to educate the public about homeless veterans, and this also gives the public a chance to help if they wish.

Our donations go to programs in the VA’s in the local areas, as well as programs our organization has in place. We have a national transitional house that allows Veterans to be in a clean, safe and sober environment.

We as the Texas chapter of V.S.O will send homeless veterans to this facility until we have enough donations to start our on transitional housing available locally.  It is our vision to have this shelter in place by the middle of this year.  Until then we will bring Veterans who are ready to help themselves into our work program to get them back on their feet. We do have housing available for our work program in the greater Austin Area.

MORE ABOUT VSO TEXAS!

TexasWe at the Veterans Support Organization Texas Chapter are a band of Brothers and sisters, veterans and non veterans, that have commit our time to help all veterans who are in need. Are Non Veterans in our Organization love helping others and have a passion for our goal in reducing the number of homeless vets on our streets. Some may ask why are your volunteers our allowed to were a uniform when asking for donations. It’s simply, Our organization for one only wears retired uniforms out of respect to those who have served our great country.

It also allows the public to know who they are donating to. These Non Veterans that we have in our organization love our Veterans so Much that they commit their lives to giving back to their beloved veterans.

Our goal is a simple one but hard to achieve. Greatly reduce the number of homeless veterans on the streets. Help the VA’s in the state of Texas with funding the need to help our disabled, needy veterans.   Also would like to  work hand and hand with other veterans groups to reach these goals.  We as a whole can HELP OUR VETERANS ONE DONATION AT A TIME!
